He also reported a significant weight loss of <strong>10 kg<\/strong> over this period. Alarmed by these symptoms, the patient initially consulted a local doctor who advised an <strong>upper GI endoscopy<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-c1f9775 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default mkdf-parallax-row-no mkdf-content-aligment-left mkdf-elementor-row-grid-no mkdf-disabled-bg-image-bellow-no\" data-id=\"c1f9775\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-9b77a2d\" data-id=\"9b77a2d\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-09d3f1e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"09d3f1e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The endoscopy revealed a mass in the pylorus (the stomach&#8217;s exit), and a biopsy confirmed it as a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma. Under the guidance and care of Dr. Vikas Maheshwari, further evaluation was carried out, including a PET-CT scan, which identified the gastric mass and an enlarged 3\u00d72 cm lymph node in the chest (mediastinum). An EUS-guided FNAC was performed, raising the possibility of infection or tuberculosis, adding a layer of complexity to the case.<\/p><p>After a comprehensive staging work-up and expert evaluation by Dr. Vikas Maheshwari, it was determined that although there was some suspicion regarding the mediastinal node, the gastric cancer was locally advanced but operable. Due to complete blockage of the stomach outlet, surgery was deemed necessary to restore the patient&#8217;s ability to eat and improve his quality of life.<\/p><p>On <strong>April 25, 2025<\/strong>, <strong>Dr. Vikas Maheshwari<\/strong> successfully performed:<\/p><ul><li>Staging laparoscopy<\/li><li>Subtotal radical gastrectomy<\/li><li>D2 lymphadenectomy, including lymph node stations 1, 3\u20136, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12<\/li><\/ul><p>Thanks to <strong>Dr. Vikas Maheshwari\u2019s<\/strong> expertise and meticulous surgical technique, the procedure was completed without complications.
